Who this is for — and the bans

This edition is for people already moving to Huntsville because of Redstone Arsenal: Soldiers on PCS orders, defense contractors, GS civilians, and the household that has to make the address work.

If you have orders, a start date, or a signed offer and you need a first-pass decision stack (gate → commute → housing → money → paperwork), you are in the right place. If you want a city magazine, a school-ratings catalog, or a realtor tour, you are not.

Audience

• Military PCS into Redstone — in-processing, HSO, TLE hygiene, Blue Card. First two weeks are Module 3.
• Contractors and GS civilians — FSO / badge or CAC, confirmed work address. First two weeks are Module 4. No TLE unless the offer letter says so.
• Spouses and families — commute follows your gate; flood is a self-check; homestead is a calendar; schools are a pointer.

Bans — we will not sell these as facts

• No invented wait times (housing, CDC, CYSS, badge lines). Contact the office; ask current wait / priority.
• No clearance or interim timelines. Ask your FSO. Do not plan a lease on an assumed grant date.
• No flood-zone determinations. You look the address up on FEMA MSC / City GIS / ADECA.
